Stacks Privacy Policy

The Stacks Privacy Policy Privacy Policy explains how Stacks and its Affiliates and (including but not limited to Stacks Freight LLC, Stacks Warehousing, LLC,) and each of their directors, officers, employees, and authorized representatives (collectively, "Stacks") collects, uses, discloses, and applies the information collected when you use or access Stacks online websites (such as https://uvstacks.com) and Stacks products, services, or applications Stacks Services.

By using Stacks websites, the Stacks Services, or interacting with Stacks, you agree to this Privacy Policy. Please read the following carefully to understand how Stacks collect, use, and maintain your personal information. In addition, it describes your choices for use, access, and correction of your personal information.

Changes to this Notice

Stacks may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. In the event Stacks makes changes, Stacks will notify you by revising the Effective Date date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If there are significant changes to this Privacy Policy, Stacks will attempt to notify you directly by email or provide information via Stacks home page prior to changes becoming effective. Stacks encourages you to review Stacks Privacy Policy whenever you use Stacks Services to stay informed of ways you can protect your privacy.

Your Consent

When Stacks collects information about you other than through Stacks websites, Stacks will first obtain your permission to do so, if required by applicable law. However, by using Stacks websites on which this notice is posted, you agree that this notice governs Stacks collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information submitted to Stacks on or through the websites. If you do not agree to be bound by this notice, you will need to deactivate your account and stop using the Stacks Services.

Information Collected

Stacks collects information about you from various sources and methods. You may choose to submit information to Stacks via Stacks website, in connection with the use of Stacks Services, when you participate in an offer or promotion, or in connection with an actual or potential business relationship with Stacks. Stacks also may obtain information about you from companies that use Stacks products or services, publicly available information systems, consumer reporting agencies, and other commercial information services. Below are the types of information Stacks may collect:

Registration Information: Stacks obtains information to create a profile for you with information such as name, email address, phone, and company name, etc. (California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (Cal. Civ. Code sections 1798.100-1798.199) (CCPA) category of personal information: 1798.140(o)(1)(A).)

Log Information: Stacks retains information about you when you access and use Stacks Services. This information can include the following: IP address, timestamps, browser information, Internet Service Provider ISP, Web Pages visited, and URL of the Web Page you visited before navigating to Stacks. Usage Information: Stacks monitors user activity in connection with Stacks Services and may collect information about the applications and features you use, websites you visit, as well as types and amount of Stacks Services you use. (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(F).)

Crash or error information: If the Stacks Services crash or return an error, Stacks may collect data to determine the cause of the error using first-,or third-party services. The crash or error information collected may include the following: Device Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, application configurations(s), the time and date, and other statistics. Shipment Information: Stacks stores information which allows Stacks to provide logistics services. Stacks obtains information including but not limited to:

Shipment contact information (such as name, postal or email address, and phone or fax number) (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(A).)

Business contact information (such as job title, department, and name of organization) (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(I).)

Government-issued identification documents (such as a driver's license or other required documents to verify your identity for the purposes of conducting customs business on your behalf) (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(A).)

Country of origin information (from which country you are accessing the website) (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(F).)

Financial information (such as financial account information used for payment purposes and/or information that may be contained in a consumer report) (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(D).)

Contact information for colleagues, business partners or other people you would like Stord to contact (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(A).)

Content you provide (such as photographs, articles, and comments) (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(A).)

Geo-location data (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(G).)

Other information (such as language preference)

Job Applicant Information: Stacks obtains information about you when you apply for a job or other role with Stacks, which may include personal identifiers (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(A), professional or employment-related information (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(I), and education information(CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(J).

Cookies

Like many other websites, Stacks website may use "Cookies" or "Other Technologies" (such as "pixel tags," "web beacons," "clear GIFs", links in emails, JavaScript, device IDs assigned by Google or Apple, or similar technologies) to collect information and support certain features of Stacks website. (CCPA category: 1798.140(o)(1)(F).) Cookies and Other Technologies allow Stacks and third parties to obtain information about your visits to Stacks site, including analyzing your visiting patterns. Marketing Cookies

Marketing cookies are used to show users display advertisements across websites such as those on Facebook, LinkedIn, or other websites. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third-party advertisers. Stacks does not display ads for any services besides its own.

Unclassified Cookies

Unclassified cookies are cookies that Stord are in the process of classifying, together with the providers of individual cookies.

Choice

Stacks offers you the choice in receiving communications from us, generally by offering an "opt in" or an "opt out" option, depending on applicable law, when you provide contact information through one of Stacks websites. Additionally, Stacks includes an "unsubscribe" link in Stacks electronic newsletters or promotional emails. These options allow you to inform Stacks on how you want to receive communications. In addition, you may opt out of Stacks communications by emailing privacy@uvstacks.com.

When accepting the terms of use/end user license agreement for applications software, you must opt in to allow the collection of data from your mobile device in order for the applications software to work properly.

You may opt out of behaviorally targeted ads anytime by clearing your cache of your browser's cookies. Additionally, you may opt-out of interest-based advertising from some third-party partners by visiting http://preferences-mgr.truste.com/, http://www.youronlinechoices.eu, or the third-party providers websites. Please note that opting-out will only prevent targeted ads so you may continue to see generic (non-targeted ads) after you opt-out.

Stacks may also obtain information from third parties and combine it with information Stacks collects through the Stacks Services. Stacks may have access to certain information from a third-party social media service if you create or log into your online account through the service or otherwise provide Stacks with access to information from the service. Any access that Stacks may have to such information from a third-party social media service is in accordance with the Privacy Policy and authorization procedures determined by the social media service. Stacks protects data obtained from third parties according to the practices described in this notice, plus any additional restrictions imposed by the other sources of the data.

Some browsers offer a do not track (DNT) option. Since no common industry or legal standard for DNT has been adopted by industry groups, technology companies or regulators, Stacks does not respond to DNT signals. Stacks will make efforts to continue to monitor developments around DNT browser technology and the implementation of a standard.

Processing

By accessing or using the Stacks Services or otherwise providing information to Stacks, you consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to the U.S. and other countries and territories, which may have different privacy laws from your country of residence.

Use of Your Information

Stacks may use the information collected for the limited purpose of providing the Stacks Service and related functionality and services, as described in this Privacy Policy and as permitted by applicable law. These limited purposes include circumstances where it is necessary to provide or fulfill Services requested by or for you or where you have given Stacks your express consent.

Stacks may use the information Stacks obtain about you to:

  • provide the information, products and services you request;
  • provide you, if you are a client, with effective customer service;
  • provide Stacks customers, carriers, and warehouses with shipment information such as location;
  • provide you with a personalized experience when you use Stacks website;
  • contact you with special offers and other information Stacks believe will be of interest to you (in accordance with any privacy preferences you have expressed to us);
  • contact you with information and notices related to your use of Stacks products and services, including Stacks website;
  • invite you to participate in surveys and provide feedback to Stacks (in accordance with any privacy preferences you have expressed to us);
  • better understand your needs and interests;
  • improve Stacks products and services and develop new products and services;
  • improve Stacks marketing and promotional efforts;
  • improve the content, functionality and usability of the website;
  • evaluate your interest in employment and contact you regarding possible employment with Stacks;

Information Stacks Shares

Information shared with third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy includes some or all of the personal information Stacks collects (as described and listed in this Privacy Policy, and includes the following CCPA categories of personal information 1798.140(o)(1)(A), (D), (F), (G), and (I). Stacks does not sell or otherwise disclose personal information Stacks collects about you, except as described herein or otherwise disclosed to you at the time the data is collected. Stacks shares information to perform activities that you request. Stacks may share the personal information Stacks collects with Stacks Affiliates, agents, authorized representatives, or to cooperate with an authorized law enforcement or regulatory investigation. In addition, Stacks may share personal information with other third parties with the consent of the individual to whom the information pertains. Stacks may also share aggregated or de-identified information from which a natural person cannot be identified by any third party.

Service Providers

If you are performing services directly or indirectly for Stacks and using an application provided by Stacks, then Stacks may collect information for the purpose of providing information to Stacks carriers, warehouses, and customers. Stacks may also share your personal information with third-party vendors that perform tasks on Stacks behalf and under Stacks instruction. These third-party vendors may use your personal information only in connection with the services they perform on Stacks behalf, and they are bound to protect your personal information in a manner consistent with Stacks own policies and practices. On Stakcs website, you may have an opportunity to post user-generated content using social networking tools available on those sites. If you take advantage of this opportunity, remember that the user-generated content you post is available to others who visit the website and therefore you should have no expectation of privacy with respect to such content. In addition, you may choose to use certain features on Stacks website for which Stacks partner with other entities. These features, which may include social networking and geographic location tools, are operated by third parties that are not affiliated with Stacks. These third parties may use personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies. On sites on which these features are offered, the relevant third parties are identified. Stacks strongly suggests you review the third parties' privacy policies if you use the relevant features.

Legal Disclosures

Stacks may also disclose information about you when Stacks, in good faith, believes disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law, a court order, or a subpoena. Stacks may also disclose information about you to prevent or investigate a possible crime, such as fraud or identity theft; to protect the security of Stacks website ;to enforce or apply Stords websites' Terms and Conditions or other agreements; or to protect Stords own rights or property or the rights, property or safety of Stacks users or others. Stacks will attempt to notify users about legal demands for their personal data when appropriate in Stacks judgment, unless prohibited by law or court order or when the request is an emergency. Stacks may dispute such demands when Stacks believe, in Stacks discretion, that the requests are overbroad, vague or lack proper authority.

Change of Control

Stacks also reserve the right to transfer information about you to a successor organization if, Stacks transfer the ownership or operation of one of Stacks websites to another organization or if Stacks merges with another organization. If such a transfer occurs, Stacks will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use personal information you have provided to Stacks in a manner consistent with this policy. Following such a sale or transfer, you may contact the entity to which Stacks transferred your personal information with any inquiries concerning the processing of that information.

Security

Stacks takes security seriously and has implemented administrative, physical, and technological measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration and destruction. If you wish to report a security concern or if you have a question around security, please submit your inquiry to privacy@uvtacks.com.

Policy Regarding Children

The Stacks Services is directed to individuals at the age of 18 and over. Stacks does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18 (Children). If Stacks become aware of individuals who have provided Stacks with personal data and are under the age of 18, Stacks will take steps to deactivate the account and delete the personal data. If you become aware of information from individuals under the age of 18 which has been provided to Stacks, please contact Stacks at privacy@uvtacks.com.

Promotional and Newsletter Communications

Stacks newsletters and marketing emails include the option to opt-out of receiving any further emails. You may also opt-out of receiving specific promotional emails by emailing privacy@Stacks.com. Stacks may still send non-promotional communications such as security alerts, product updates, or notices related to Stacks ongoing business relationship.

California Residents

Under California law, California residents have certain rights with respect to personal information. This Privacy Policy lists the categories of personal information that Stacks collects and discloses for a business purpose and includes references to corresponding categories of personal information outlined in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA). Stacks does not sell (as defined in CCPA) personal information to third parties or otherwise provide personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To exercise your rights under California law or other rights you may have (outlined in the Your Privacy Rights section of this Privacy Policy), please contact Stacks by emailing privacy@uvtacks.com.

Community Forums and Blogs

Stacks website offers publicly accessible blogs or community forums. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request removal of your personal data from Stacks blog or testimonials, contact privacy@uvtacks.com.

Testimonials

Stacks displays personal testimonials of satisfied customers on Stacks website in addition to other endorsements. With your consent, Stacks may post your testimonial along with your name.

Your Privacy Rights

You have certain rights regarding the personal information Stacks maintain about you. Stacks offers you certain choices about what personal data Stacks collect from you, how Stacks uses that information, and how Stacks communicates with you. Stacks will retain information required to comply with privacy requests, manage active accounts, as required by law, in order to resolve disputes or enforce Stacks agreements. Stacks will retain personal data Stacks process on behalf of Stacks clients as directed by them. Stacks may also retain copies of your information for disaster recovery purposes.

Stacks may place links on the Stacks Services. When you click on a link to a third-party website from Stacks website, your activity and use on the linked website is governed by that websites policies, not by those of Stacks.
